Educational Baby Toys New Born:

A young mind has the ability to store vast amount of information. This is made possible by neurotransmitter called Acetylcholine which maintains and strengthens the neural connections responsible for a sharp memory.

Promoting healthy levels of Acetylcholine builds new neural connection which power the information sharing network of the mind.

Hanged rolling musical crib toy (Baby plush crib mobile) is a good choice to enhance building or developing visual and cognitive process at the same time.

Educational baby toys 6-9 months:

At this age babies intend to set and move their body slowly from one direction towards the other.

They learn how to set without falling, around the ages of 7 to 8 months depending on their body strength. It could vary from one child to other.

One thing you have to keep in mind, is not to let them set for a longer period because their vertebral column is very fragile and they could get tired quickly which is not also ideal for the development or formation of vertebral column.

It is a good idea also to leave them on the tummy as much as possible prior to setting process because it strengthens their abdominal muscles and also good for their digestion process.

Some babies could set at 7 months while some other babies could set at the same age with the help of a support i.e. pillows designed to hold their back so that they don’t fall down by the head to feel discomfort or if fallen on a solid object could cause miner or even severe injuries depending on which object they hit their head or nick while falling down. So you better make sure not to leave any solid objects or toys around the baby while they are setting.

At 8 months, babies can set up right and enjoy their play. We could offer them educational and musical toys combined with fabric or tissue just so your baby play safely and you too could have peace of mind that your baby is safe.

At this age they always put things in their mouth as they want to explore through tasting which is very normal and you might not want to give them a solid or hard toy. Therefore, it is good to offer them a toy made by fabric because even if they put it in the mouth, their teeth will be safe and it’s going to avoid the situation where your baby bites his or her own lips and gets hurt.

After 9 months, they are able to crawl. This is the stage of their growth which requires too much attention because they grape and pull everything toward themselves which is extremely dangerous if fallen on their own body depending on how sharp, heavy or hot and cold the object is. Therefore, you might want to keep them busy with some educational as well as physical active toy towards which they love to crawl and remain engaged as much as possible. Through engagements, they improve in terms of knowledge, health, safety and fun as well as peace of mind for yourself.

At educational baby toys we could direct you to some age appropriate toys as well as respecting your choice in terms of what skill you would want to develop in your baby, as the choice from one parent to other may vary.

As an Affiliate marketer, I could suggest you variety of useful, playful, educational and physical toys for their crawling stage and any other as per your choice. If you ever feel like asking for help, rest assured that I will be always available to help you.

Educational baby toys 9-12 months:

At 10 months, babies crawl faster and enjoy rising up by holding on to an object to stand up. This stage of standing up is extremely exciting and cheerful for them which takes them towards the direction of growth and nurture their desire to step up and began a new journey of their life.

They are always active, playful and joyful. They love to walk you into different places, as they love discovering new places along with new people at this age. This could be easy in summer for parents but at winter time us parents could always bring the outside in to our own home which means we could build a little world for them inside the house. See how?

  • Install an indoor jumping object (trampoline) and Little Tikes junior (slides) to keep them jumping and sliding during the cold days of winter besides keep them warm by jumping and remaining active as they absolutely need it at this age.
  • We (parents) could install some flexible inflatable (indoor) bouncers and let our children enjoy the flexibility of this object by bouncing. This is going to be an excellent exercise for them in order to invest all those energy which they absolutely need to, at this age.
  • Depending on how spacious our home is, we could build an inflatable dinosaur park fun city bouncer and fun party where they could play along their cousins and guests if ever you party or invite people over.
  • Similarly, there are hundreds of other beneficial indoor toys which could be brought into the comfort of our house and to be able to enjoy outside in the inside in a cold, cloudy, rainy or snowy day regardless of these harsh temperatures for our kids. It could also prevent them from a flu and cold season.
  • Unlike the indoor winter choices, we also have absolutely all sorts of winter snow boards, snow sleds and all other variety of snow equipment for your baby or children’s playful winter day if you are a winter lover.

At educational baby toys, we could assist you in choosing among hundreds of products which best meet your baby’s need according to their age and also suitable as to which type of individual you would be welling to built within your baby.

Each parent’s objective in life for their baby is different. Some wants their baby should be raised to become an army for the defense of the country, another may raise one who become a scientist or another group of people who encourage their child to become polyglot, Penta lingual (can speak 5 languages) or even octo-lingual (can speak 8 languages) who will then be able to travel the entire world. If you are someone who love to travel the world and enjoy diversity.

I will explain you more in details about language development and their proper terms how we call it in English in my other content which is titled (Language development) I would suggest you check that one out if you are interested in building this skill within your child.

Educational baby toys 12-18 months:

At 12 to 18 months babies are normally quite good walkers. They love to stay active all day long. They will bring you toys to play with and always wants you to be included in their play time. They will need toys which help them strengthen their leg muscles also help with their growth as well as remain healthy through being engaged in physical activities.

At this age we would not expose them too much to the digital objects such us TV, iPad, cell phone etc. because kids become addicted too quickly. However playing baby songs from time to time could keep their mental health and growth maintained.

Children need a fun and playful environment in order to maintain a good mental health and its development. Hence, balancing their day could sometimes be very tricky and also exhausted if not planed and managed properly. We could always plan our day a head in order to provide our baby with everything which should be a part of healthy, disciplined and well organized day. Toys which are best recommended for them are the once with music including any other features. For example:

Above were just a few of them which were the best option in general. I would tell you more about the specialties in regard to which subject or skills in each separate contents as you continue reading and navigating through this website.

So my dear friends, here was my 14 years experience and knowledge as a mother of two children who are currently trilingual which may become Penta lingual one day like myself, depending on our future situations.

I thank you very much for taking the time to read and navigate through my website. I appreciate your time and I appreciate you! I would love to hear your feedback, your likes and comments as well as where to improve so that I consider them for my future piece of work and or websites.

With best regards, prayers and safety of you and your loved ones,

  1. Hi Meena. Very interesting post. I think everyone understand how important it is to give baby possibilities to develop as early as possible. Educational toys are best way to learn by fund and to show young child world of new incentives. But its not easy to choose proper toys, with so many options on market. Thank you for your review, looking forward to test some of your recommendations.

  2. Hi Meena! This was really well written! I enjoyed reading it. Playing is the best way kids start learning. With educational toys, kids take on role-playing, understand emotions and develop empathy. These toys will put your child through various social situations that involve sharing, leading, bonding caring, waiting, etc. Thanks for posting this

  3. Educational toys are so important in supporting the development of a child so that his or her potential is maximized. You have provided a good description of various toys. I like how you have broken them down for various age groups. This is very helpful information for parents to have. In my prior work in family counseling, I did a lot of work with parents and children and your information would have been very helpful.

    1. Hello Joseph,

Thank you very much for your time in reading the content. I really appreciate your time and your kind comment. I am glad that you liked the good organizing of the content. I wish you had found it during your work with family counselling but that’s okay. I would appreciate if you could consider it as a referral point or site for families in future and it would be a great honor to me and Educational Baby Toys website.

I wish you all the best!

  4. Hi Meena, my daughter was born in 1993. It used to take a great deal of time to learn the information you are presenting here … and then to actually find toys that were well designed for stimulating a child’s development. Busy parents need this kind of resource. I have always wondered if boys ‘need’ different toys to girls (and vice versa) for optimum development. Do you have a view on that please?

    1. Hello Richard,

Thank you for going through the article. I appreciate your time and your comment.

Boys and girls have different tastes in colors. The color is something which attracts them the most and grasp their attention. Apart from that, there is not much that we may concern for choosing different toys to baby girls and boys.

Thank you for the question and hope it responded well to your question.

  5. I have a 10 month old grand daughter, who is excited to find new things and will play with her toys for hours. The problem is that her dad went shopping and bought some toys which, we realised, are not age appropriate. We also think that some of her toys are too much of the same thing. Thank you for the video and the suggestions as to what we should get for her so she can have fun and also learn as she grows. I like the suggestion of a main play area so when the neighbours children come over they mostly stay there and not roam all over the house.

    1. Hello JJ,

Thank you for reading the content. I appreciate your comment. I am glad that you found the article and the video helpful. Also glad about the suggestions which you liked. I think the separate play room idea is a good one too. I am sure if his Dad is aware about the information on this video, he is going to change his mind. So thanks to you for sharing.

      Kind regards,

      Meena

  6. Hello Meena, I read your article, and as a mother, I want to thank you for sharing such helpful information for new parents on your site. My daughter is three years old now. I appreciate too much-dedicated mothers or parents, like you, sharing personal experiences to help new parents step by step with their child’s development and growth. I used for my daughter Xylophon and Woden activity cube toys, and I also recommend them to other parents for their kids.

  7. This was really interesting to read. I have a 9 month old and we’re currently experiencing early stages of crawling and discovery. Our eyes always need to be on her, as she grabs anything and everything! It was really helpful to look at the recommended toys for 10 months and onwards, I will be sure to look into them more.

  8. Meena – this is an outstanding article!  I loved how you we’re able to explain what stage of cognitive and physical development babies are at within each age range before recommending specific products that fit to boost the baby’s overall growth.

I really like the BrainUp Busy board and all the activates and puzzles it has in one product!  I was curious to see the V-Tech beat drum, that one caught my eye because I have a hyper-active nephew who I think it’d be perfect for.  I couldn’t find a link so please send over if you have one!

It’s always a pleasure to read your work & good luck with the next language for your kiddos 🙂

That’s the link for the musical drum for an hyper active child, as you requested and by clicking on to it, you will be directed to Amazon site.

I did not put any link here in this comment because I am not sure if it is not prohibited. Thank you very much for your interest in shopping and I appreciate that.

All the best to your nephew and hope he gets well in near future.

  9. This is a fascinating topic, particularly for inexperienced couples with babies. Many people have experienced this part of their child’s life and will read this post with joy if they complied with this post’s prescriptions. But many parents will read this post with regrets for not have provided the age-appropriate TLM for their child. TLM? Yes, TLM. As you have them for elementary school children, 0 – 18 months old children should have them.

I would recommend this post to parents, particularly those inexperienced in child-raising.

From my own experience, having raised four children of my own, I would advise avoiding the temptation of subjecting your own role as a father or mother to those toys. Toys cannot substitute a mother or father’s quality time with the baby. These toys help not replace the role of a mother or father.

    Good luck.

    1. Thank you very much for reading the article and for your comment.

Yes, I totally agree about maintaining your own quality time with your children as a parent. A toy is only a means of communication with the baby and also teaching them along with those toys. It could not replace the quality time spent by parents.

Thank you for your recommendations, I appreciate that.

  10. Hi

I was thinking of what to get a friend on her daughter`s first birthday that we`ve been invited to but always drew a blank and that`s how I landed on your site, looking for safe, fun and educational baby toys.I did not want to get the traditional toys because I felt, I wanted something more.

Your site has now given me so many options I`m even getting confused on what toy to buy.

But after thinking hard I think the baby plush crib mobile musical crib toy will be a great purchase.Being outdoors can be confusing for babies, what with all going around them so I thought to improve visual concentration when outdoors, this is what I`ll get my friend`s daughter,I`m sure she`ll appreciate it and the baby will love it.

    Thanks so much for sharing.

    1. Hi Roamy,

Thank you very much for your visit. I appreciate your time in navigating through for some educational toys.

Yes, you are right! There are so many options. I totally agree with you. My goal was to help all parents to find the best age appropriate and educational toys to their children. So, I have classified all the educational toys according to the baby’s proper or right age group. For example:

Ages 0 to 6 Months, 6 to 12 Months, 12 to 18 Months and 18 to 24. So that it could facilitate finding what you are looking for and saves you so much time rather to check into a crowd of toys.

I am glad you found what you were looking for and I welcome you to revisit if needed. If you ever needed any help, I would be happy to help you.

Good luck with your friend’s birthday party and have fun and stay safe!

      Meena
